February has come

Hey Family!

This week was better. We've been working hard ~ not seeing many fruits ~ but working hard nonetheless.

Our zone did really well the last month. We baptized 46 and the average for our zone is 27 and the record was 35. I consider that an improvement. Unfortunately, all of the people that we are teaching are falling, and fast. It's okay, though. Just got to keep chuggin' along.

Well, this week we had zone conference. I learned a lot. We talked a lot about following the Spirit, and Sister Nancollas gave a sweet talk on prayer. I don't know if I have told you guys this before or not, but I have used a teaching that Shep gave me several times in my mission. As a missionary, we pray about 15 times a day in all of the appointments and with our companions and stuff. After doing that for a while, the prayers start getting repetitive, including my own personal prayers. So, several times in my mission, I have remembered when Shep taught us to keep a clock by us when we are praying, and pray for 20 minutes. For me, 20 minutes is really long, so I have personally changed it to 10. At first, it's a little hard to think of things to say, but after a while it's really easy.

I love this idea because it helps me talk to my Father in Heaven. Not only pray, but talk. I can really feel a difference and recommend it for anyone. I told the zone about it and many of the missionaries have done it. They like it, too. Thanks, Shep.

Well, my companion was kind of sick this week. We went to the doctor today and we have to go back tomorrow. But I'm sure he will be better soon so that we can work well this week. He's 25. Did I tell you that?

I'm excited to see if my Colts win this week. Someone told me that the Suns might trade Amare. True? I hope so.

Well, I love you all. I hope you get better, Dad. I'm praying for you. I know that they will find something in the MRIs. Don't worry.

I hope you are all happy and stuff.

Until the next episode.

10 minutes, that is a really good idea. When we fly we live by the "Ten Minute Rule", so I know it would totally work for prayers. (But 150 minutes a day is real dedication!!)

Way to go, Elder Romney, and Shep!!! Keep chugging along, and those prayers will be answered. You are making such a difference in so many lives!

What an awesome idea for prayer. I just love these boys and pray for them daily. Drew is an inspired Elder. He has such great future ahead of him!
Steph, as April approaches, it is totally my intent to make it to Drew's homecoming.
